We are utterly commited to helping other artists develop their practice and have set up several prpgrames to enable this. this is not entirely altruistic, we are constantly struggling to find artists who have both the ability to work effectively with 'difficult' groups, as well as the ability to produce high quality contemporary art outside of the usual settings. We also understand that this approach does not suit everyone.

 

WHAT? • Find a variety of entry levels and arenas within work programme to develop artists artistically and practically for both Friction Arts workplace and West Midlands in general.

WHY?

• Capacity building for organisation and region

• Commitment to the West Midlands region

• Building world we want to live in

HOW?

• Practical, hands on experience on variety of projects with formal and informal mentoring
