Neighbour Hood Watch

The programme began 18 months ago when we were approached by an associate artist, Simon Walker. A friend of his had recently been the victim of a fatal shooting and he was concerned that, as the incident went largely unreported, the issue of street violence was not being publicly discussed. We decided to form the Neighbour Hood Watch programme, a series of arts projects focussing on what life is really like on the streets of Britain's inner cities and the relationship the ‘inner' citizens have with their ‘street life'.

Since then we have completed two projects in the programme, are currently working on a ‘graphic novel' project with young offenders/youth services and a fourth project –‘Curio City shop' is ongoing. Click on the right links for more details about projects in the Neighbour Hood Watch programme.
